Diabetes....

Recently my mom found out that she has type II diabetes. They are treating it only with diet and exercise for now. Her numbers have been good since she has been testing and watching what she eats. I took a FREE nutrition class today with her at our local hospital. It was very informative and helpful. I have also been reading and working on weight watchers! I am learning to change habits and make better choices. I am very proud of the changes we have made so far. It will be a work in progress.

No Beyblade party for us!

After prayer and discussions, we have decided that Beyblades are not for us! Dylan was a little disappointed, but realized he didn't want what they represented. I will let you be the judge of that! You can "google" them for yourselves. I do hope we can host another party for this company. I will be a better judge next time!

House Party!!

I am so excited....I was FINALLY picked to be a house party host! I will get to host a small party, write a review, post a video, etc....They will send me some goodies for the kids...I can't wait. Hopefully this will be the start of something good! My first party will be for the BeyBlade toys. Dylan is soooo excited!!! He already loves them!

hum drum day...

We are trying to drag through another day of school....and I mean drag!! Julia has had a sudden case of laryngitis, no strep! Dylan suddenly had a case of nervous vomiting yesterday while they were trying to swab his throat for a strep test! I guess I'm just tuckered out....I so want to be one of those people who jump up at 5 or 6 am and just go all day long....Does that even exist???? Anyway, I still press on and keep wishing!

The first week of school has been great! We have done a lot of work, even with daddy being home from work a couple of days! I am looking forward to fun days ahead!!!

I'm back....

Hey, It's been a quick but busy summer. All 4 kids have completed swim lessons, church camp, and I have completed my last day of public work! YES...I am a stay at home wife/mom. I am excited to get into our school routine. I know the kids are not! Curtis is still getting into his work routine...I think this will take a while since its a 12 hour swing shift/2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights rotation. Things are moving right along and we are looking forward to what God has in store for us!

Whew! The kids had a valentine Party today. I am so proud of my kids. Skating is usually only a "once a year" activity for us. Dylan and Julia both tried really hard today and stepped out of their "safety zone". They both had a great time. Curtis even made it around the rink 3 times without falling! Yes, I skated too. It was fun! We had a good day of fellowship with our homeschool buddies and lots of sweets! We always look forward to our group parties. Now we have a few minutes before the older 3 go to their weekly bowling league. Always on the go!

Getting Started!

Wow! I actually sat down and took time for me! I finally set up a blog! Amazing! As you will see, most of my blogs will be about my kids...that's who I am!
